Senior opposite Nikki Taylor put down 13 kills, becoming the 15th Hawaii player to reach 1,200, and No. 12 Hawaii swept Cal State Northridge 25-14, 25-15, 25-15 tonight in Northridge, Calif. It was Hawaii’s 26th consecutive Big West volleyball victory dating back to 2014 and the Rainbow Wahine’s seventh straight win this season.
Junior middle Emily Maglio added eight kills for Hawaii (12-4, 5-0 Big West). Junior libero Savanah Kahakai had a match-high 14 digs.
For the Matadors (6-11, 2-3), sophomore hitter Aeryn Owens had six kills and senior hitter Julie Haake added five. CSUN was without starting setter Lauren Conati.
Hawaii held the Matadors to negative .040 hitting, the third straight match the Wahine’s opponent was negative. All 14 Hawaii players on the travel roster played.
Taylor is at 1,202 kills and needs 18 to pass Jessica Sudduth for 14th on the career list. Taylor also had a double-double with 11 digs.
Hawaii outblocked CSUN 10-9. All of the Wahine’s blocks came in the first two sets.

When EM takes a swing at the ball and catches it at the high point, there is not a block in the country that she cannot hit over and down.
You got to be kidding. Every top 10 team have the skill and height in the middle to stuff her. Probably every top 10 team have a middle as tall or taller and with more hops and more power.
Another Big West victory for the Wahine in this Oxtail special meal.
There’s nothing special about it. Very unfilling
I love Oxtail. My favorite Pilipino dish is “Kare Kare” made with Oxtail, vegetables, and “Ono” sauce. “Like Try”!
Going to the Beach vs. Wahine game this Saturday at the Pyramid, should be a good one.
