Police: Girl assaults Waikiki store employees after stealing Spam musubi, candy

Honolulu police say a 17-year-old girl allegedly assaulted two employees of a Waikiki convenience store after stealing a Spam musubi and chocolate bar Monday night.

According to a police report, the teen stole the items and assaulted a 22-year-old store employee at about 11:20 p.m. The suspect fled but returned shortly afterward and assaulted a second store employee, a 50-year-old woman, police said.

Officers arrested the girl on suspicion of second-degree robbery and second-degree burglary. She was released pending investigation.
