UH football releases 2018 schedule

The University of Hawaii football team will open and close its 2018 regular season on the road, school officials announced today.
The Rainbow Warriors will open against Colorado State in Fort Collins, Colo., on Aug. 25. That “week zero” game is part of an NCAA exemption that allows UH and its 2018 opponents to play a week ahead of the usual start to the college-football season. By using the exemption, the Warriors will have a bye this season – on Nov. 10 — instead of playing 13 weeks in a row without a break.
The Warriors’ other Mountain West Conference road games are against San Jose State (Sept. 29), Fresno State (Oct. 27) and the regular-season finale at San Diego State (Nov. 24).
