State sheriffs arrested an Oahu Community Correctional Center detainee today after he was mistakenly released and should have been transferred to the State Hospital.
Sheriffs received a tip that Winston Kailimai was located on Nimitz Highway near Sand Island at around 3 p.m. He is being transported to the hospital.
Kailimai, 25, was sentenced on a misdemeanor charge and released on probation at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. He was recently found unfit to stand trial in a separate assault case.
