The staff reported Lila Welch, 41, missing at 3:25 p.m. Thursday from the YWCA Fernhurst where she lives and works.

Hawaii Department of Public Safety is looking for a Women’s Community Correctional Center inmate who escaped from a residential furlough home on Thursday.

The staff reported Lila Welch, 41, missing at 3:25 p.m. Thursday from the YWCA Fernhurst where she lives and works. Inmates in the extended furlough program live and work outside of prison.

She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Welch is serving time for promotion of dangerous drug in the third degree and prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia.

Her next parole hearing is scheduled for March 2019.

Anyone with information on Welch is asked to call 911 or sheriff’s dispatch at 586-1352.
