A 38-year-old Waikoloa man sustained critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash in South Kohala Thursday.

The motorcyclist was taken in critical condition to the North Hawaii Community Hospital and medevaced to Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu.

Police said the Nissan driver and his 60-year-old female passenger were not injured.

Neither speed nor alcohol were factors in the crash.
