A water main break closed Keahole Street this morning near Hawaii Kai Drive.
A water main break in Hawaii Kai has forced the closure of the mauka-bound lanes of Keahole Street.
The break occurred shortly before 7:30 a.m. near Hawaii Kai Drive.
All lanes of Keahole Street near the break were originally closed off, but, around 11:30 a.m., police contraflowed the makai-bound lanes to allow for one lane of traffic in each direction.
Police advise motorists to seek alternate routes. A Board of Water Supply spokesperson said work is expected to continue throughout the day.
