    Two lanes are closed on Waialae Avenue near Koko Head Avenue Wednesday morning as Board of Water Supply crews repair a 12-inch water main.

Board of Water Supply crews are expected to work past the morning rush hour to fix a 12–inch water main that broke on Waialae Avenue between Koko Head Avenue and Elizabeth Street Tuesday night.

Traffic is being contra-flowed around the repair area between 19th and Waialae avenues. One lane is open in each direction.

Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.

The break happened at about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday and cut service to two buildings and six homes.
