May Nielsen ratings for Honolulu released today will have competing stations again claiming to be No. 1.

KHON-TV anchor Joe Moore is still dominant at 6 p.m. on weekdays with a 12 rating and 27 percent audience share.

At 10 p.m., the Hawaii News Now newscast, aired on KGMB-TV and KHNL-TV, received a combined 12 rating, 30 percent share of the audience, while Moore’s newscast on KHON earned a 10 rating, 24 share and is No. 1 as a stand-alone show. HNN’s newscasts are not a truly synchronized simulcast and commercials are sold and aired separately on each station.
