Mika Maii, above, visited the Hawaiian Humane Society with her mother on Thursday and wanted to take home one of the kittens and cats up for adoption.
Furry felines at the Hawaiian Humane Society are in "overwhelming need" of a family.
So June is cat celebration month at the Humane Society, which is extending a cat adoption promotion to the end of July.
It is offering two cat adoption deals. All cats 3 years of age and up are free, while kitten lovers can get two kittens 2 years old and younger for the price of one.
