Wahine remain at No. 6 in volleyball poll

The Hawaii women’s volleyball team was at No. 6 for the second consecutive week in the AVCA Division I Coaches Top 25 poll today.

Stanford (7-0), which swept previous No. 1 Penn State Saturday, moved up a spot to No. 1. Penn State (7-1) fell to No. 2; the Nittany Lions saw their 109-match winning streak snapped by the Cardinal. 

Florida (8-10 moved up to No. 3 while Nebraska (8-1) jumped three spots from seventh to fourth. Illinois (7-1) dropped from third to fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 were USC (7-0), Texas (5-), Washington (8-0) and California (7-0).

The Rainbow Wahine (8-1) host Brigham Young Friday and Saturday.
