Danielson is WAC player of the week

Hawaii outside hitter Kanani Danielson was named the WAC volleyball player of the week yesterday. It is the junior’s eighth career weekly honor.

Danielson led the Rainbow Wahine to wins over San Jose State and Fresno State. She hit .338 with 4.67 kills, 2.83 digs and 1.00 blocks per set.

 

Lim wins singles championship

Hawaii’s Kristin Lim won the USTA/ITA Small College National Tournament Division III tennis singles championship on Saturday in Mobile, Ala.

Lim, a Punahou graduate, beat Kendra Higgins of Chicago 6-0, 6-0 in the final.

Lim and doubles partner Crystal Lim lost in the doubles final.

 

Hawaii golf team in 16th place

The Hawaii golf team is in 16th place after two rounds of the Alister McKenzie Invitational in Fairfax, Calif., heading into today’s final round.

T.J. Kua shot rounds of 70 and 72 and is at even-par 142 and tied for 39th.

Tourney host California is in the top spot in the team standings at 528.

Cal’s Ben An and San Diego State’s Alex Kang are tied for the individual lead at 13-under 129.
