Nap leads to arrest of alleged car thief
Honolulu police say they’ve arrested a suspected car thief who literally fell asleep at the wheel.
Police Crime Reduction Unit officers were called to an intersection in Waianae to investigate a suspicious vehicle at about 2:30 p.m. yesterday.
They found a 26-year-old man asleep in the car with the motor running.
It turns out the car was reported stolen at 8:30 a.m. yesterday. Police arrested the man for car theft.
