Boy arrested for allegedly setting fire to bamboo in Wahiawa
A 14-year-old boy was arrested this morning on suspicion of setting fire to bamboo in upper Wahiawa on Oct. 22.
A witness saw the suspect setting the bamboo on fire and blowing on it to make the fire larger, police said. The fire caused about $1,000 damage to the bamboo on a Walea Street property owned by an 87-year-old man who made the complaint.
