Police are looking for a suspect who robbed the Hawaii National Bank on Bishop St. on Dec. 14, 2010.

The downtown branch of Hawaii National Bank was robbed this morning by a lone bandit, who police say may be the same person who robbed another downtown bank last week.

The man entered the bank at 841 Bishop St. at 10:25 a.m. today and demanded money from a teller. No weapon was used and the robber left on foot.

Police said the man may have also been the person who robbed the Territorial Savings Bank at 1000 Bishop St. on Thursday.

He is described as 35 to 40 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.

Today, he was wearing a light gray polo shirt, long pants and a dark cap.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME from a cell phone. Anonymous text messages can also be sent by texting “CS808” and the message to 274637 or CRIMES.
