Arrest made, investigation begins into separate shootings on 2 islands
Police on two islands are investigating reports of shots fired recklessly in separate cases.
Honolulu police made an arrest yesterday in the case of a man accused of firing numerous shots from a rifle through his front door and other rooms of his Haaheo Place home in October.
Police arrested the 60-year-old man at his home for reckless endangering and drug charges. Police said the man fired shots at 11:30 p.m. on October 27 that may have hit a neighbor’s house.
Meanwhile, Big Island police are investigating whether shots fired in Volcano last night may have hit a home in the Royal Hawaiian Estates subdivision and two homes on Mokuna Street.
Patrol officers responded to calls of shots fired at about 11 last night.
Anyone with information on the Big Island case is asked to call Det. Brian Miller at 966-5835.
