City urges drivers to stay off roads; Flash flood watch remains in effect
City officials are urging drivers to avoid "non-essential travel" with today’s forecast calling for brief heavy showers continuing for Oahu.
The National Weather Service has canceled a flood advisory for Oahu after radar showed that showers have diminished over the island.
But a flash flood watch remains in effect for Oahu, Kauai and Niihau through Tuesday afternoon.
City officials have closed the Ewa Villages and West Loch golf courses because of heavy rains and grounds that were already saturated from last week’s rains.
