BASEBALL
» Kansas senior left-hander Wally Marciel (‘Iolani ’06) allowed one run on three hits in seven innings in a 4-1 victory over Air Force on Sunday. Marciel walked two and struck out two to improve to 2-1 for the season. Catcher Kaiana Eldredge (Punahou ’10) went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for the Jayhawks.

» Loyola Marymount sophomore center fielder Zac Fujimoto (Maryknoll ’08) finished 3-for-11 with an RBI and three runs scored in a four-game split over the weekend against Hawaii.

» Long Beach State freshman Royce Murai (Pearl City ’10) doubled for his first extra-base hit in college and finished 1-for-3 in a 4-3 win over Hawaii on Monday.

» Colorado School of Mines senior Nick Wong (Roosevelt ’07) finished 8-for-18 with a double, triple, three runs scored, five RBIs and a stolen base in a four-game series against Colorado State-Pueblo over the weekend. The Orediggers finished 0-4.

» La Verne sophomore Dylan Leong (Punahou ’09) went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in the first game of a doubleheader sweep over Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday.

» Pacific (Ore.) junior Mike Nagamine (Mid-Pacific ’08) went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and three RBIs, and Rob Dittrick (Mid-Pacific ’09) allowed two runs on six hits in seven innings to lead the Boxers to an 11-4 win over Linfield (Ore.) in the series finale on Sunday.

MEN’S BASKETBALL
» Willamette (Ore.) junior Taylor Mounts (‘Iolani ’08) was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team. Mounts finished second in the league in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 20.2 points and 7.2 boards per game. He made 38 3-pointers and shot 50 percent from the field, scoring a career-high 33 points in November against Corban University.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
» UNLV junior Jamie Smith (‘Iolani ’08) attempted only one shot in 38 minutes, but had 12 rebounds, two assists and a steal in a 51-47 win over Utah on Saturday. Utah sophomore Iwalani Rodrigues (Kalani ’08) made four 3-pointers and had 16 points and a block for the Utes.

» Utah State sophomore guard Pualei Furtado (Kamehameha ’09) made her only 3-pointer of the game and had three points, an assist and a rebound in a 72-71 loss to Hawaii last Thursday. Freshman guard Kamie Imai (Waiakea ’10) had two points, three assists and two rebounds in a 75-39 win at San Jose State on Saturday.

» Concordia (Calif.) senior Nicole Fu (Maryknoll ’07) finished with 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 76-58 loss to California Baptist on Friday, ending the Eagles’ season. Fu finished her career sixth in scoring (1,477 points), fourth in 3-pointers (147), third in steals (233) and sixth in assists (323).

» Cal State Northridge sophomore Violet Alama (Kalani ’09) finished with a team-high 15 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals in a 63-49 loss to Pacific (Calif.) on Saturday. Analee Viena-Lota (Kamehameha ’07) added four points, three rebounds and a steal in her final collegiate game and Janelle Nomura (Punahou ’09) chipped in four points, an assist and a steal.

» Clackamas (Ore.) sophomore guard Johnnelle Kapua (Mid-Pacific ’09) finished with six points, seven assists and four rebounds in a 79-67 victory over Lower Columbia on Monday. The Cougars went 2-2 to finish in seventh place in the NWACC championships that finished yesterday.

WOMEN’S GOLF
» Santa Clara senior Miki Ueoka (Kauai ’07) shot a final round 3-over 75 to finish in third place, five strokes behind the winner, at the Fresno State Lexus Classic that finished yesterday. Portland State sophomore Britney Yada (Waiakea ’09) shot a 69 in the final round to finish in 10th place at 10 over. Ueoka’s teammate, Tammy Surtees (Hawaii Prep ’08) finished in a tie for 30th and Portland senior Lisa Okazaki (Mid-Pacific ’07) finished in a tie for 72nd place.

» James Madison junior Nicole Sakamoto (Kalani ’08) shot a final-round 84 and finished in a tie for 51st place at 23-over 233 in the Sun Trust Gator Women’s Invite that finished on Monday.

WOMEN’S GYMNASTICS
» Pennsylvania freshman Keolamau Yee (Punahou ’10) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference co-rookie of the week on March 2. Yee had season-high scores in both the podium and the balance beam to help the Quakers win their first Ivy Classic since 2007. Yee is ranked sixth in the conference on the balance beam and 15th in the floor exercise.

SOFTBALL
» New Mexico State senior Hoku Nohara (Kamehameha ’07) was named the Western Athletic Conference hitter of the week on Monday. Nohara had six homers and 11 RBIs in the Arizona State Wilson/DeMarini Invitational over the weekend. Nohara leads the conference with a .460 batting average, 14 home runs and 40 RBIs.

» Southern Oregon sophomore Rayna Strom-Okimoto (Aiea ’09) was named the Cascade Conference player of the week on Feb. 28. Strom-Okimoto went 8-for-16 with two homers, two doubles, six runs scored and four RBIs in the Southern Oregon Invitational.

» Eastern Kentucky senior pitcher Noelani Esperas (Kamehameha ’07) threw a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in a win over Wagner, and senior Shyenne Hussey (Kailua ’06) finished 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs in wins over Wagner and Bryant University on Monday.

» Mississippi State junior Kaili Smith (Kapolei ’08) finished 2-for-5 with four runs scored, two walks and a stolen base in wins over Texas A&M and Mississippi Valley State in the Bulldog Classic on Sunday.

» Brigham Young freshman Katie Manuma (Campbell ’10) hit an RBI single to help the Cougars salvage a game in the Campbell/Cartier Classic with a 5-0 victory over Cal Poly on Saturday.

» Angelo State junior Elsamartina Apo (Waipahu ’08) went 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored to help the Rambelles defeat Texas A&M-International 7-6 on Sunday to sweep a doubleheader.

MEN’S VOLLEYBALL
» Southern California senior Tri Bourne (Academy of the Pacific ’07) hit .483 with 16 kills, 10 digs and an ace, and Riley McKibbin (Punahou ’07) had 58 assists, seven digs and three block assists in a five-set victory over Brigham Young on Saturday. Henry Cassiday (Punahou ’10) had a team-high 16 digs and two assists for the Trojans, while Futi Tavana (Kauai ’05) hit .611 with 11 kills and no errors for the Cougars.

» Stanford senior Spencer McLachlin (Punahou ’07) had a match-high 21 kills and hit .436 with six digs and two block assists in a four-set victory over UC San Diego on Saturday. Brad Lawson (‘Iolani ’08) added 17 kills and 11 digs, and Erik Shoji (Punahou ’08) finished with 13 digs for the Cardinal.

» Long Beach State freshman outside hitter Taylor Crabb (Punahou ’10) hit .222 with 13 kills and three digs in a five-set loss to UCLA on Friday.

» Massachusetts Institute of Technology senior Caine Jette (Maui ’06) had five digs to help the Engineers win the MIT Invitational with a sweep of Emmanuel College on Sunday.

» Hope International junior Kaimi Guerreiro (Kalaheo ’01) had 20 kills, 10 digs and two aces with a .271 hitting percentage in a five-set victory over UC Santa Cruz on Saturday. Henry Valiente (Farrington ’02) had nine digs, Mana Guerreiro (Kalaheo ’06) had nine digs and four kills and Chase Suzumoto (Kalani ’10) had three aces for the Royals.

» Stevenson (Md.) freshman outside hitter Kalani Soeda (Le Jardin ’10) had nine kills, three digs, an ace and a block assist in a four-set loss to Ramapo on Sunday.

» New Jersey Institute of Technology sophomore setter Matthew Lui (Hawaii Baptist ’09) had eight assists and a block assist and Brady Smith (Waiakea ’09) had six digs and an assist in a three-set loss to Lees-McRae on Friday.

» Graceland (Iowa) sophomore Anthony Robinson (Waianae ’09) had 14 kills, 16 digs and two blocks and Bronson Sagon (Mililani ’09) had 14 digs in a four-set loss to Saint Ambrose University in the championship game of the Saint Ambrose Invitational.

WOMEN’S WATER POLO
» Pacific (Calif.) senior Dara Tawarahara (‘Iolani ’07) scored six of the team’s 12 goals in the Aggie Shootout over the weekend. Tawarahara netted the Tigers’ lone goal in a 5-1 loss to Santa Clara and scored five times in an 8-2 win over Sonoma State on Saturday. She had two assists in a 10-3 loss to UC Davis on Sunday.

» In her first game following the swimming season, Siena (N.Y.) senior Nicole Hagi (Kapolei ’07) scored two goals in a 12-7 victory over Gannon on Saturday.

» Occidental (Calif.) sophomore Nanea Fujiyama (Kamehameha ’09) scored three of her four goals in the first period and added three assists and three steals in a 14-6 win over Villanova on Thursday. Karie Nickle (Kamehameha ’07) added two assists and a steal for the Tigers in their home opener.

» Cal Lutheran junior Jane Galuzzi (Punahou ’08) scored two third-quarter goals on Sunday in a 13-9 loss to Wagner.
