HPU sweeps Academy of Art

Peter Ibanez pitched a four-hitter to lead Hawaii Pacific to a 3-1 victory and a baseball doubleheader sweep of Academy of Art yesterday in Oakland, Calif.

Keanu Kapena hit a two-run homer for the Sea Warriors in the victory.

In the first game, Wade Tamaru and Jordan Inamasu both went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in the 8-6 win for HPU (11-13, 8-5 Pacific West).

Darnell Quinney went 4-for-4 and Zach Babitt drove in three runs for the Urban Knights (2-18, 2-12) in the first game.

 

Dixie State takes 2 from UHH

Jordan Hanley went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs to lead Dixie State to a 9-4 victory in the first game of a baseball doubleheader yesterday in St. George, Utah.

In the second game, Justin Jensen drove in four runs to lead the Red Storm (14-7, 11-3 Pacific West) to a 13-6 win.

Keoni Manago went 5-for-9 in the two games combined for the Vulcans (6-6, 3-3).
