Kapolei slips past Campbell

Waianae’s Kawika Akana beat the tag and was safe as Pearl City third baseman Troy Barboza Scanlan covered the base in the first inning of yesterday’s game.

Lonnie Santiago scored the game-winning run after Campbell threw the ball away on a potential double play as the Kapolei Hurricanes defeated the Sabers 7-6 in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West baseball game yesterday.

Campbell tied the game at 6 in the top half of the seventh on a three-run home run by Kaeo Kapana.
