Tonight’s “Hawaii Five-0” was a rebroadcast of “Ke Kinohi,” and since the Five-0 Redux covered much of what we learned in tonight’s broadcast in “Deconstructing ‘Five-0’ Theories” we digress from the usual blog to bring you fun photos from the third “Hawaii Five-0” Tweet up—read “meet up” for all you non-Twitter users out there. It’s just like calling your friends to meet up somewhere—only we “Tweet” out an invite—and Big City Diner’s President and Owner Lane Muraoka helps set us up at his Ward restaurant with a great spot.

He also makes up a special Five-0 menu and surrounds us with three big screens for us to watch and talk about everything McGarrett and Five-0. We all have a great time repeating favorite lines, laughing at the same sarcastic Danno comment, and for the ladies, ahhing at any strategic McG “babe” shot.

We also got to cheer for our friend — Sarah, “Blonde at the Beach” — who was an extra during the shoot out scene on Waikiki Beach. It’s all about good food, meeting Twitter peeps in real life, and enjoying our favorite show.  For several of the folks this is their third meeting at Big City Diner, and this one was by far the largest meeting.

Though there have been other informal “Hawaii Five-0” Tweet-ups — at Tropics Bar and Grill, Side Street Inn, and Perk-A-Lot Coffee in Wahiawa — those have been smaller and more impromptu than the larger and more organized Tweet-ups at Big City Diner.

Often times Tweet-ups have been organized to meet out of town “Hawaii Five-0” fans, as tonight was to meet fans Silke and Andy who were visiting from Germany. We’ve also had Tweet-ups to meet Dana from Vermont, Brianne and Patricia from Canada, and Michele from New York.

All great to meet Twitter friends from all over the world, and a testament to how wide reaching “Hawaii Five-0” is. Maybe next time, you can join us at the next Five-0 Tweet up. We’re a fun bunch as you can see.

Redux Side Note:

Monday May 2nd starts “May sweeps” for “Hawaii Five-0” with all new episodes until the season finale. Next week’s guest star is 80’s pop star and teen idol Rick Springfield as world-renowned photographer Renny Sinclair. According to the CBS press site, Renny is a “womanizer” who is murdered while on assignment in Hawaii shooting the annual swimsuit edition of a top sports magazine. I’m sure it will be a very important case for McG and Danno having to work so hard interviewing swimsuit models. All I’d like to see is my former teenage dream sing a little “Jessie’s Girl” while he’s on the show. It could happen, right? If nothing else, be there, aloha.
