One of the nation’s largest home mortgage lenders, Chase, plans to send a team of loan advisers to Hawaii next month to meet with customers in foreclosure or in danger of defaulting on their mortgage.

Chase announced that it will offer face-to-face meetings one day each on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island to provide assistance that includes advice on applying for a mortgage modification as well as other options for Chase or EMC Mortgage borrowers who are delinquent or not delinquent on their loans.

Other services provided will be document signing, modification package drop-offs and assistance with short sales for customers who want to sell their home.

No appointments are necessary. Chase said it expects customers won’t have to wait more than 15 minutes for a meeting. The company is sending about 10 loan advisers. A checklist of suggested materials for customers to bring with them is available at chase.com online.

Scheduled meetings:

Oahu — May 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa’s Kahili Suites 1 & 2.

Maui — May 12 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa’s Kula Hana Room.

Big Island — May 14 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wai­ko­loa Beach Marriott Resort & Spa’s Pani­olo I Ballroom.
