Fresno State coach praises UH quarterback Graves
Fresno State football coach Pat Hill today praised Warriors’ quarterback David Graves as, “a very bright light for Hawaii in the future.”
Graves, a redshirt sophomore, came off the bench and rallied the Warriors from a 17-0 deficit to a 21-17 lead before the Bulldogs came back to win, 24-21 Saturday night.
Graves “did a good job,” Hill said on today’s Western Athletic Conference football coaches’ teleconference. “I was very, very impressed with him. He gave them the spark they needed. He made a couple of big plays not only throwing the ball but with his feet.”
Hill said, “Hawaii over the years has always had quarterbacks that can throw it and I don’t think there is any question about he can throw it. I think he will add a new dimension to their game.”
Graves completed 13 of 27 passes for 199 yards and two touchdowns, and ran 11 times for 33 yards and one score.
