UH’s Lee, Croson win sand tournament title
Hawaii’s Ashley Lee and Jane Croson defeated Florida State’s Brittany Tiegs and Aurora Newgard 21-16, 19-21, 15-11 to win the gold medal at today’s North Florida Sand Volleyball Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Rainbow Wahine finished second to Florida State for the team title.
Lee and Croson were named to the all-tournament team as were the UH pair of Larissa Nordyke and Mita Uiato.
The Wahine next host Hawaii Pacific Saturday at Queen’s Beach. The event starts at 8 a.m.
