Hawaiian Air flight to American Samoa returns to Honolulu
The 200 passengers on board Hawaiian Airlines Flight 465 to Pago Pago, American Samoa, departed Honolulu at 5:24 p.m., but the plane turned around 45 minutes after depature.
The flight system computer indicated a system warning that required the plane to be turned around.
The plane landed without incident at Honolulu Airport.
Maintenance crews went over the plane and found nothing wrong, said Keoni Wagner, spokesman for Hawaiian Airlines, adding it appears to be a faulty indication.
The flight crew, however, had to be replaced, he said, and the flight was rescheduled for an 11 p.m. departure.
All passengers were given meal vouchers.
