A woman at a bus stop was dragged for several feet by a man who got out of a white van and snatched her purse near Kapiolani Community College campus near Diamond Head theater on Monday afternoon.

Police are looking for the man driving the van as well as the passenger who grabbed the woman’s purse, dragging her.

The theft occurred at 1:45 p.m. at the bus stop near the theater on Makapuu Avenue.

The suspect who got out of the van is described as 6 feet tall, 230 to 240 pounds.

University of Hawaii campus police also issued a security alert Tuesday, saying that the driver of the van was of similar husky build.
