A photograph by Tavis Glover of Honolulu is among 91 selected in the Canon U.S.A. “Project Imaginat10n” national photo contest, that will inspire short films directed by celebrities.

Glover’s photo, submitted in the Obstacle category and titled, “A Cry for Help,” is among the winning images being reviewed by actress Eva Longoria, Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone, designer and Marchesa founder Georgina Chapman and James Murphy, founder of the LCD Soundsystem.

Award-winning actor and director Ron Howard, overseeing the project with Canon, chose one photo for the Discovery theme that will be represented as a thematic tie to be represented across all directors’ films, which will be made using Canon equipment.

The celebrities and five yet-to-be-named additional directors will prepare short films based on 10 of the 91 photos selected in part by online consumer voting.

The films will premiere at the “Project Imagina10n” Film Festival in 2013.
