UH soccer team signs 8 players
Hawaii women’s soccer coach Michele Nagamine announced the signings of eight players as her 2013 recruiting class today.
Of the eight, four are local products. They are T.J. Reyno and Madison Reed of Mililani High, Kama Pascua of recent state champion ‘Iolani, and Storm Kenui of Moanalua High.
The other four players — Mikaela Berger, Ryan Daniel, Korinne Estrada and Hallie Hernandez — hail from California.
Berger, a goalkeeper from Mission Viejo High, and Reyno, a 5-foot-2 mid/forward, were rated among ESPN’s Top 150 recruits in the country.
"I’m thrilled to unveil this year’s recruiting class; it’s bar far one of our best ever," said Nagamine, a third-year coach, in a UH release. "I have been true to my words. When I was hired at UH, my intent was to surround the best local talent with impact players from the mainland who understand the unique culture and opportunities we have playing here in Hawaii. We have absolutely done that with (the) class of 2013."
