Showers, restrooms at Sand Island park to be closed for repairs
There will be no water service for showers and restrooms Friday at Sand Island Recreational Area because of repairs being done to the water system.
The Department of Land and Natural Resources said Sand Island Park will be open, but the restrooms and showers will be closed for repairs.
Doonwood Engineering will be replacing worn parts of a backflow preventer.
The repairs are expected to be completed by about midday.
