The Queen’s Medical Center — West Oahu campus will open for patients on May 20.

Queen’s acquired the former Hawaii Medical Center West campus from St. Francis Healthcare System of Hawaii on Dec. 14, 2012.

Services will include emergency room, inpatient and outpatient surgery, imaging, cardiology and specialty clinics. The hospital will have 80 beds upon opening and will increase up to 135 beds as volume increases.

“This is an exciting time for Queen’s, our state and most importantly the West Oahu community,” said Susan Murray, senior vice president of The Queen’s Health Systems, West Oahu Region, and chief operating officer of The Queen’s Medical Center — West Oahu. “Since Queen’s acquired Hawaii Medical Center West, our team has been working diligently to ensure that we will be able to provide our patients with access to quality healthcare at a state-of-the-art facility without having to travel into Honolulu.”

The imaging center and specialty clinic have already opened and are accepting patients. Both are located in the Physician’s Office Building on the West Oahu campus.
