Pedestrian in critical condition after Makiki accident
Paramedics took a 52-year-old man to a hospital in critical condition Tuesday morning following a pedestrian accident on Pensacola Street in Makiki.
The accident occurred at about 8:38 a.m. in front of the Makiki Post Office. Emergency Medical Services said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when he was struck by a vehicle.
Police closed a lane on Pensacola Street below Lunalilo Street to investigate and reopened it by about 11:15 a.m.
