North shores of all islands under high surf advisory

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for north-facing shores for all islands until 6 a.m. Thursday. 

A north swell is expected increase Wednesday night and remain through early Thursday with surf peaking between 10 and 16 feet. 

There will be moderate impact but expect strong breaking waves, longshore and rip currents according to National Weather Service officials. 

Beachgoers are advised to heed all advice given by ocean safety officials.
