Waikoloa man, 48, facing numerous drug, firearm charges

A 48-year-old Waikoloa man faces numerous drug and firearm charges after a search of his home and vehicle on Thursday yielded 5.3 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and 10 firearms.

Tandi "Duke" Ezzo was charged Friday with six counts of third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, three counts of possessing drug paraphernalia, a single count of third-degree promotion of a detrimental drug, 10 counts of not having a permit to acquire a firearm and 10 counts of lacking mandatory firearm registration, according to a news release issued by Hawaii County Police Department.

Ezzo’s aggregate bail was set at $39,000. He is being held at the Kona police cell block pending an initial court appearance on Monday.
