A 42-year-woman was charged with fleeing police during an arrest in Waikiki.

Lisa Broderick, who does not have an address, was charged Friday with second-degree escape.

Her bail was set at $25,000.

Police said Broderick had been arrested for harassment and placed in a transport vehicle about 9:05 p.m. Thursday.

Broderick managed to exit from the vehicle and flee a short distance before officers apprehended her, police said.

She was arrested at Paoakalani and Kalakaua avenues near Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel.
