A woman took a photo of the high surf at Rock Piles on the North Shore.

An increasing north northwest swell is pushing surf along the north and west shores for the north and west facing shores of most islands into advisory levels Sunday morning.

A high surf advisory has been issued for the north and west facing shores of Niihau and Kauai and the north facing shores of Oahu, Molokai and Maui until noon.

Surf is expected to be from 10 to 15 feet along the north and west facing shores of the islands.

The swell is expected to decrease in the afternoon and through the evening hours.
