“Hawaii Five-0” will return for a sixth season, according to CBS publicity officials and the show’s executive producer, Peter Lenkov.

The network has been silent on the subject of renewal for several weeks, prompting speculation among bloggers and fans across social media platforms that it would not return.

The network steadfastly refused to discuss renewal, saying it would reveal the show’s fate Wednesday when CBS reveals its fall lineup for advertisers.

The fifth season was landmark season for “Five-0”: The show reached 100 episodes last fall.

“Five-0” finished its fifth season on Friday with back-to-back episodes.

Production is expected to resume in July.

Although neither CBS nor state film office officials release spending by specific productions, the state has estimated that “Five-0” spends about $60 million in Hawaii each season.
