A 34-year-old homeless man is in custody after he allegedly tried to strangle a household member during an argument at the Kakaako homeless camp site Tuesday night, police said.
The couple argued and the suspect allegedly grabbed the 34-year-old woman’s throat and tried to strangle her at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near the Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center on Ohe Street.
Officers arrested the suspect on suspicion of first-degree abuse.
