Hawaii County police warn motorists of hazardous driving conditions
Hawaii County police are warning motorists Wednesday afternoon of hazardous driving conditions due to heavy rain in the upper Waikoloa area and on Highway 190 from Puuanahulu to Waimea.
In Waikoloa, the heavy rain is on Waikoloa Road from the 5-mile marker to the intersection of Highway 190.
Drivers should exercise extreme caution and go slower if it is necessary to travel in these areas.
Police are also advising motorists to avoid these areas and to take an alternate route.
