Hawaii opens NCAA tournament on road against TCU
Hawaii will begin the NCAA volleyball tournament on the road for the second consecutive season.
The Rainbow Wahine (26-1), not among the top 16 seeded, will play TCU (19-9) on Friday at College Station, Texas.
Hawaii is in the Des Moines, Iowa, regional. In Friday’s second match, host Texas A&M (23-6) plays Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (31-4).
On the other side of the regional bracket, Penn State (26-5) host Howard (18-13) and Dayton (26-5) faces Villanova (25-8).
The winner of the Texas A&M subregional and Penn State subregional meet in the Sweet 16 in Des Moines on Dec. 11.
