Cincinnati, San Diego State to face in 2015 Hawaii Bowl
The University of Cincinnati and San Diego State University will face each other in the Hawaii Bowl this year on Christmas eve.
The Cincinnati Bearcats finished with a 7-5 record in the American Athletics Conference and San Diego State Aztecs won the Mountain West Championship on a 10-3 record.
“I congratulate the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and the San Diego State Aztecs on their successful seasons and look forward to welcoming both teams to the islands,” Daryl Garvin, Hawaii Bowl Executive Director said. “Hawai‘i, especially during the holiday season, will provide a once in a lifetime bowl experience for the student-athletes and their visiting fans”
The Bearcats and Aztecs have met once previously on the gridiron, a Sept. 29, 2007 matchup in San Diego which was won by the Bearcats 52-23, according to the University of Cincinnati athletics department.
The game will be played at 3 p.m. at Aloha Stadium and will be aired on ESPN and ESPN Radio.

Thanks to ESPN for supporting this bowl game. Huge for Hawaii and let’s not forget how this all became a reality. Support the rainbow warriors.
Ho hum. San Diego State and Cincinnati?? Even free tickets won’t help.
Looks like first priority is to fix the turf at Aloha Stadium.
