UH-Manoa graduates receive degrees at mid-year commencement ceremonies
About 1,100 graduates received their degrees at Mid-Year Commencement ceremonies this morning at the Stan Sheriff Center on the lower campus of the University of Hawaii-Manoa.
The combined graduation ceremonies for bachelors, masters and doctorate degrees began at about 9 a.m., following a student procession at 8:30 a.m.
The keynote speaker was retired YMCA executive Robert K. Masuda and the student speaker was Elizabeth Pualani Armstrong.
UH-Manoa expected heavy traffic before the ceremonies begin at about 9 a.m. and after the commencement ends at around noon.
