NCAA to announce findings in case against UH hoops team

    An NCAA notice of allegations charged UH with violations of seven rules, all of them of Level I or Level II, the most severe of four categories, in Jan. 2015.

The NCAA Division I Committee on Infractions is scheduled to announce its findings in the case against the University of Hawaii men’s basketball program Tuesday, officials said.

Xavier athletic director Greg Christopher, the chief hearing officer in the case, will make the announcement.

An NCAA notice of allegations charged UH with violations of seven rules, all of them of Level I or Level II, the most severe of four categories, in Jan. 2015.

UH and its former men’s basketball coach, Gib Arnold appeared before the panel in October.

An NCAA spokeswoman declined comment on the case prior to the announcement.

  • Thanks a lot Fibber Because of your lies to the NCAA you got the program mostly yourself in more trouble. Always best to tell the truth and admit to your mistakes. What was troubling more so is fibber influencing his former assistants to lie also. Kudos to the coaches for telling the truth.
