Waipahu man arrested for fireworks violation
A 41-year-old Waipahu man was arrested and cited Thursday for a fireworks violation, police said.
Cenon Polintan, of Hula Street, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. for an investigation of a fireworks law requiring a permit or license to import, store, or sell fireworks. The violation is a petty misdemeanor.
He was released about two hours later after posting $500 bail and has a court date set for February.
