Army begins artillery, mortar training at Schofield

There will be increased noise and traffic near Waipahu beginning today as the 25th Infantry Division begins mortar, artillery and demolition training at Schofield Barracks.

The training will run through Jan. 29.

Additionally, the 25th Infantry Division will be conducting a large-scale exercise called Lightning Forge on various parts of Oahu, Jan. 25-Feb. 9.

Weather, such as overcast conditions, can increase noise and vibrations.
