Road to West Hawaii Community College campus reopened
Hawaii island police reopened Palama Nui access road in Kona after firefighters contained a brush fire.
Police closed the road from Ane Keohokalole Highway to Queen Kaahumanu Highway and urged drivers to avoid the area and take other routes.
The fire also temporarily closed the Hawaii Community College Plamanui campus.
