Man, woman rescued after being swept out at Queen’s Bath
Two people were swept out to sea at Queen’s Bath in Kauai Sunday morning.
Kauai firefighters responded calls of a man and a woman in distress at 10:15 a.m.
A rescue team on Jet Ski 1 picked up the swimmers anad brought them to the Hanalei lifeguard tower where medics assessed them and released them, Kauai Police Department said.
A high surf advisory is in effect for north and west facing shores.
Kauai officials advise beachgoers to go to calmer waters on the south shores such as Hanalei pavilion, Kealia, Lydgate, Poipu, and Salt Pond.

Very very lucky. Could have been a different outcome.
Let’s see: high surf advisory + ignorant people + Kauai Lifeguards = very lucky not-quite victims. People just seem to think they’re immune from consequences of dumb actions.
