Several thousand runner participate every year and proceeds go to several charities.

Maybe these drivers were rushing to get to the starting line.

The Aloha Run is a great tribute to President’s Day and the Military. When I was stationed in Vietnam (AF) we had about 40 in our barracks–blackened windows since we flew at night–close quarters. The BX had all sorts of boom boxes and it seemed that everyone had one–BUT, ONLY one cassette–and that was “Good morning Sunshine.” I heard that from dawn to dusk and LOUD. When I ran the Aloha Run a few years ago (56:30 BTW) we approached Aloha Stadium and I noticed the hair in the back of my neck was standing up–guess what the Navy band was playing???

The homeless are going “bananas” finding HI5 water and soda bottles in the trash can along the route.
