Scuba diver goes missing off Big Island
The Coast Guard and Hawaii County Fire Department are searching for a missing 69-year-old diver off Puako Beach on the Big Island.
The Coast Guard said Diana Wolking was last seen entering the water at 7:20 p.m. Wednesday wearing a black rash guard, black-and-white bikini bottom, a scuba tank and black fins.
After more than an hour, witnesses said her truck was still parked at the beach and they could not find any sign of her in the water or near the beach.
A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Barbers Point and the cutter Kittiwake, as well as a Hawaii County Fire Department helicopter and rescue boat, searched the area Wednesday night.
