Amazing speed for a huge lineman.
For those not in the know…are those good numbers??? I’m sure I’ll hear it on Sportscenter.
For someone that weighs 300 lbs. it’s really fast.
Has anyone bothered to actually watch DeForest play at Oregon? I mean a 1 tackle per game average and getting bull dozed by strong running teams is his likely future. I guess size and speed is more important than play making ability or heart. Guaranteed bust big time!
Thank you, brokenspoke. I will pass along your assessment of Buckner to all 32 NFL general managers. Heaven forbid that one of them uses a high draft pick on a surefire “bust.”
you sound like a disgruntled St. Louis alumn….just sayin’….

Hope we’ll be watching another great athlete from Hawaii in the NFL.
I think the best question to ask is what percentage of college football players trying to enter the draft actually get accepted into pro football? Is the dreaded Combine the only test given? Any intelligence tests? You are the defensive lineman. The offense looks like this, and your men are positioned this way. The offense hikes and does this. What do you do? You have only 2 seconds to respond. Then there is the newly mandatory examination of you adult and maybe juvenile criminal records. Gambling habits. Beater of girlfriends, spouses, or mistresses? Did they do this with Manziel? Is the applicant black or white enough to satisfy the silly “Black lives Matter?” movement. Football has evolved into a very profitable and serious business with viewers all over the world. Billions of dollars change hands. Only the best should be selected to play in arguably the best televised sport on TV and in the field. The Combine might be the best measure of an applicant’s physical talents, but it is not the only test. Keep watching the whole picture. It’s like watching the Academy Awards. Each film must endure a phalanx of critics. Each critical selector must be pleased in each and every category. This is hard, hard, hard.
