Kauai man convicted of raping teenager
A Kauai Circuit Court jury found a 45-year-old Hanapepe man guilty of raping a teenage relative.
The jury found Larry Cass Ragasa guilty today of two counts of first-degree sexual assault and one count of fourth-degree sex assault.
The crimes happened between Aug. 2001 and June 2002 when the victim was 14 and 15, prosecutors said.
He later subjected the victim to a sexual assault when she was an adult, prosecutors said.
“It took a lot of courage for the victim in this case to come forward and tell her story,” said Prosecuting Attorney Justin F. Kollar, in a news release.
Ragasa’s sentencing is set for June 1.

I hope someone “returns the favor” once he gets to prison. He deserves to know what it feels like.
He will be out on the street shortly. Never you worry about that.
Serial predator. Bubba will love him when he gets to the ‘Big House.’
Look at that scraggly ‘stache. Obviously a “Low-T” sufferer who couldn’t compete in his own age bracket. Awwwwww.
Put the perp away. No one will miss him.
A sex predator who raped his own niece. He needs to be incarcerated and separated from the opposite sex for a very long time. There must be someway his libido can be reduced as punishment.
Chop his boto off!.
He looks like a nice uncle. Who can you trust if not your own family?
He may not be a very nice human being, but he does have a nice made-for-TV smile doesn’t he?
